Dacarie Robertson is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with experience working in school-based settings, working with high achievers, athletes, college students, helping professionals, and veterans. Experience includes working K-12 and higher education settings in Oregon and Colorado. This has allowed Dacarie to work with adults, children, and families across an array of developmental and wellness paths to meet their individualized wellness and healing goals.
Dacarie holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Southern Oregon University and a master’s degree in social work from the University of Denver, where she focused on nature-based, holistic approaches to healing, international social work, and animal-assisted therapy. Graduate course work focused on systems theory, human growth and development, multicultural, experiential, group, expressive, therapies. She also worked as a social worker at Kibera Girls Soccer Academy in Kibera, Kenya, supporting women’s health, gender empowerment, access to sport, and wellness.
Dacarie is passionate about sport as a universal language for understanding, wellness, and overall healing. As a collegiate athlete herself, she has dedicated much of her life to physical and mental gains in sport and brings this understanding to her counseling practice to support clients in accessing peak performance gains through the lens of neuroscience and the mind-body connection.
Dacarie applies a client-centered approach, creating strong rapport and a landing place for clients to express and better understand themselves. She works to normalize the human experience through a neuroscience approach and offers mind-body connection to resolve deep rooted trauma/blocks within the nervous system and subcortical systems in the body. Dacarie is Brainspotting trained in phase 1 and 2.
